Kale is high in fibre and water. Both of these helps prevent constipation and promote regularity and a healthy digestive tract. It also contains B vitamins, and vitamin C, which promotes iron absorption. These are essential for the release of energy from food.
Broccoli is a great source of vitamins K and C, a good source of folate (folic acid) and also provides potassium and fibre.Vitamin C helps builds collagen, which forms body tissue and bone, and helps cuts and wounds heal. Diets high in fibre promote digestive health.
Although it's low in fibre, it has a high-water content, making it a refreshing choice during hot weather. It also provides calcium, potassium, vitamin C, and folate. The nutrients in iceberg lettuce can help you to meet the standard daily requirements for several vitamins and minerals.
